No Child Should be Cold or Hungry in Orange County, Virginia
Food Pantry & Clothes Closet
Adversity can befall anyone at any time; when it happens to those in our community, Good Samaritan, Inc. will be there to give hope for
a better tomorrow.
The Good Samaritan Mission
To extend a helping hand in time of need to the community by providing assistance with food and clothing.
Good Samaritan, Inc. is a 501c (3) non-profit founded on November 22, 2014 by Tommie and Valencia Bailey. The founders saw a growing need for food and clothing for children, women, men and families so they decided to do something about it. Good Samaritan provides clothes and food to the less fortunate in Orange County, Virginia and surrounding counties and has an office which also houses a food pantry and a clothes closet.
In 2024, Good Samaritan fed over 7,000 people and provided a winter clothing drive and a Christmas Toy Drive so every child could celebrate Christmas!

The Food Pantry
Across the country, millions of people face the harsh realities of homelessness and hunger every day. With rising living costs, job insecurities, and unforeseen hardships, many families and individuals find themselves struggling to put food on the table. In these difficult times, Good Samaritan plays a critical role in offering not just nourishment, but also hope for a better tomorrow.
But these essential services can't operate without community support — and that's where you come in.
The Clothes Closets
Donating to our clothes closet is a meaningful and impactful way to support our community, and it offers a range of benefits to both the recipients and the donors.
Our Clothes closets serve individuals and families facing financial hardship, homelessness, or other difficult situations. By donating clothing, you directly help them access the basics they need to feel comfortable, dignified, and prepared for daily life.
Together, We Can Make a Difference
We believe that no one should have to choose between food and shelter, but the reality is that millions of people in our community do.
Your donation can help us provide a warm meal, warm clostes, a moment of dignity, and the hope that things can get better. No contribution is too small — every little bit helps.
Let’s come together to support our neighbors in need. Together, we can make sure no one has to go to bed hungry.
